Dallas Defense Sacks Eli 8 Times

Dallas beat the NFC East rival The New York Giants 20-8 and kept them in the number one wild card spot for another week. The Dallas defense had 8 sacks and 2 interceptions that kept Giants from scoring a touchdown all game since 2004. Dallas defense just playing exceptionally well. Romo threw 2 touchdowns, 244 yards but was obviously a little banged up from back to back sacks earlier in the game but showed heart and didn't miss a snap. Whitten had 5 catches for 44 yards, and Owens had 3 catches for 38 yards but Choice was the star of the game. He had 91 yards on 9 carries, and was also the top reciever with 52 yards on 4 catches. If Dallas wins its last 2 games they will guarantee themselves a playoff spot but that wont be easy. They play the Ravens (9-5) on Saturday then close out the season with the Eagles. Dallas is now 9-5.

Dallas Gives Away Game In 7 Minutes

I usually every week post the results of the Dallas game no matter a win or loss, but this week pissed me off. They had the win and in the last 7 mins of the game they gave it all away with 17 unanswered points. I am very disappointed with them and didn't even bother to post a blog about it right away. The Steelers have the best defensive in the NFL and the Cowboys were playing right back with them. The Dallas D performed exceptionally well. The best I think we have ever seen them. Romo seems to love to choke in big games, throwing bad passes and interception when we dont need them the most. Dallas 3rd string running back Choice, rushed for the most yards allowed by Pittsburgh all season. Final score 13-20 all lost in the 4th quarter of the game. Dallas needs a must win agaisnt division rival Giants or it will be the second year in a row the Giants have ended the Cowboys season and would love nothing more than to do so. Cowboys move to 8-5 and need a win to make the playoffs or its goodbye till next year.

XBOX 360 Repair Journal: FINAL ENTRY

UPS finally delivered my XBOX to my door step today around 5:45pm. I am pleased to say the least. It took a total of about 15 days to get it back. I didn't get my same console back but a refurbished one. Hopefully not, but until next time...

Cowboys Cruise By Struggling Seahawks

Dallas breezed by the Seahawks in a 34-9 victory at Texas Stadium in there traditional Thanksgiving Day game. This is 3 straight tying there earlier streak in the season. There next few games between Pittsburgh, Giants, Baltimore, and Eagles is the hardest final schedule in the NFL. They will need to do very well to keep those play off hopes alive. Marion Barber (pinky toe) and Demarcus Ware (knee) were injured in the 3rd quarter but it seems they will be ok for next week. Demarcus Ware has the sack record this season with 15, and the Dallas defense may get another boost when Adam Jones returns next week. Dallas doesnt have the best record in the month of December and hasnt had a winning one in that month since 2001. Romo passed for 331 yards and 3 TDs and 1 Int. Jason Whitten was a huge part of the offense since he broke his rib with 9 receptions for 115 yards and a touchdown. Owens also did well with 5 receptions for 98 yards and also a touchdown. Dallas doesnt play till next week agaisnt the Steelers who are right now 8-3 before Sunday. Cowboys move on up to 8-4.

XBOX 360 Repair Journey: Entry 6

So my xbox has been shipped but just the billing information has been received. When i check my status it has a new serial number and everything. I called Microsoft to get the tracking number. I called UPS to see if I could pick the package up somewhere but it hasnt left the repair center yet. I have looked all over online for a number for them but there isnt one listed. They said it should arrive by December 2nd which is retarded, damn holiday. As soon as it says in route or its been picked up by UPS im going to call and try and pick it up.

XBOX 360 Repair Journey: Entry 5

I just checked my status and it says the repair on my console has been complete and is being prepared for shipment. I am happy yet disappointed at the same time. I know that I will not get it till next week because of the UPS office being closed on Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving Holidays. Maybe a miracle will happen and it will get here today but I doubt it. Mine took longer to repair then others I had read about online. Its only 25 minutes away so we will see, but I don't see UPS doing any extra work knowing they are about to be off for 4 days. I will keep checking back for any new updates..

XBOX 360 Repair Journey: Entry 4

So finally I wake up to an email from Microsoft saying that the repair is now in progress and will notify me when they are finished. Its about time, and they actually updated the xbox.com website with my progress. Hopefully by the end of today they finish repairing it. I would like to have it back to me before Thanksgiving but I doubt it. Hopefully by this weekend. Until the next update stand by...

XBOX 360 Repair Journey: Entry 3

So after 4 days my XBOX has finally arrived in Mesquite to the repair center a whole 20-25 minutes away. A bit too long if you ask me. I know I had Saturday and Sunday but still. I tracked it with UPS and it was delivered to the center at 8:05pm tonight. The xbox.com website on the other hand is total crap. It has not updated at all. Right now it should say box received or being repaired, but it still says repair box sent. Total bull if you ask me. Hopefully it updates soon. Until the next update...

Dallas Still On Track For Playoffs

Cowboys are still on there way to a wild card playoff spot with a 35-22 win over the San Fransisco 49ers today. It was there second consecutive win since there 3-0 start earlier this season. Owens had his second best career day with 213 receiving yards and a TD on seven catches. Romo had 314 passing yards and 3 TDs for the day. The Cowboy's defense has continued little by little to get it together. They had 4 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, 1 interception, 1 saftey and 1 blocked kick for the day. Dallas gets the 2-8 Seattle Seahawks in less than 4 days for the annual Thanksgiving Day game. Dallas moves to 7-4 and keeps there playoff hopes alive with a big win today.

XBOX 360 Repair Journey: Entry 2

I just received my repair shipment box at 5:40pm. A total of 4 days to receive it since I called. I then packed up my broken XBOX and went to the UPS store down the road to ship it off. The repair center is in Mesquite, Texas which is about 20 mins away from here. It should be there tomorrow but by Saturday for sure. Until next time...

Tony Romo A Modern Day Saint

How can you not like this guy? Earlier this season Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo pulled over in Dallas traffic and helped a couple change a tire on there car that had a flat. Well Romo even tops that people. It was either today or yesterday Romo took a homeless man out to the movies, and not only took him but sat and watched the movie with him. The homeless man told Romo "Sorry if I smell bad its been awhile since I had a shower." Romo responded with, " Its ok I'm used to it. I'm in the locker room alot." Is this guy a saint or what? You cant help but to like this guy. Hes just a small town mid west guy who just happens to plays great football.

XBOX 360 Repair Journey: Entry 1

So my XBOX 360 has been giving me problems since the new GOW2 came out. It now just doesn't work meaning it freezes but no Red Rings of Death. Many have had these problems since the COD: WAW and GOW2 came out. Now I usually would just go to Best Buy and return it and get a new one free of charge but my protection plan has expired so its off to Microsoft. This is my 3rd one to break and my first time sending it out so I am going to post everytime I check the status on xbox.com/support. To see about how long from day one till I get it back. I called the support line last night around 1130pm and we did the test which all failed so they are sending me a box to send it out in and so the journey begins. Everytime a new update comes out when I check the status I will update a new post. I will be missing a couple or more of play time which usually keeps me sane and the new xbox live dashboard update that comes out the 19th but I think I will live. Stay tuned for the next update.

Cowboys Keep Playoff Hopes Alive with 14-10 Win

Well looks like Dallas rallied past the Redskins to win and keep there playoff hopes alive. A loss tonight would have pretty much been no playoffs this season. Tony Romo was back in action with a split on his pinky finger on his throwing hand. He said it bothered him a few times but nothing too serious. He completed 19/27 passes for 198 yards, 1 TD and 2 INTs. A little rusty maybe but enough to win. But it was Marion Barber who was the beast of the game with 1 rush TD, 114 yards on 24 attempts, along with 6 receptions for 39 yards. The Cowboys move to 6-4 and 3rd overall in the NFC East and play at home next week agaisnt the San Fransico 49ers who are 3-7.

Giants Have No Mercy On Banged Up Boys

Surprised?..Shocked maybe?..not at all. The Giants burry the Cowboys 35-14. I knew the Cowboys would not win or had a slim to none chance to win this game without Romo. Brad Johnson is horrible need I say more. I think I should. This guy is garbage I'm sorry but I have to say it. 3 interceptions then they put in his backup who throws an interception on his first pass! Wow is all I can say. At least Bollinger threw a passing touchdown to T.O. Barber was shut down. The offense cant get going without Romo. The Cowboys are now dead last in the NFC East and have a bye week to rethink and re coop. Tony Romo should be back to face Washington. Lets hope Dallas comes back revived and with spirits up now that Tony is going to be back in action. They should also have Felix Jones and hopefully Jason Whitten will let those ribs heal a bit more. Maybe that will give them back that confidence they had. They need to win the next 5 out of 7 games to make the playoffs and there schedule is not gonna make that easy. Cowboys are now 5-4 and Giants are 7-1 and are number 1 in the NFC East.

Battle of Defenses Cowboys Emerge Victorious 13-9

The Dallas Cowboys defense finally stepped up this week. In my opinion I felt that because the Dallas offense with Romo could put up points at will, that the Defense took a back seat and could relax. Last week was a wake up call and now they woke up the beast that is the Dallas D. Dallas kept Tampa from scoring a touchdown in its 5 trips to the redzone and kept them to 3 field goals. It shows that even with the countless injuries to key players on defense that this team has the ability to step up and be the best on any given Sunday. Brad Johnson did so-so but did throw a touchdown pass to Roy Williams his first as a Cowboy. Marion Barber had 71 rushing yards and countless important 1st downs. Owens was kept just for 33 receiving yards. The game ended with a last minute attempt by Tampa to score for the win. They converted 2 4th down attemps but the 3rd wasnt the charm and they were stopped with the Cowboys emerging on top. Dallas moves to 5-3 same with the Tampa Bay. Its not getting any easier for Dallas as they face division rivals the Giants (6-1) at New York next week. Lets hope the new great defensive play continues through out the season.

Foods to Use to Build Good Meals for Lean Mass

A lot of people ask me what I eat etc and how I stay in great shape. What you eat and how and when you eat is just as important if not more important than the exercise aspect. I get plenty of that from my training and from lifting weights. Remember eating right has to be a lifestyle change and not a temporary thing or it just doesn't work and will be a waste of time. This is something that was put together by a coach/friend of mine who is a nutritionist, and a professional MMA fighter who is in phenomenal shape. Below is a list of some great things to eat and even a sample eating routine that will help you get in great shape and stay and feel healthy. I hope you enjoy and ask any questions you may have.

Good organic teas and coffees (if over 18)
100% Fruit Juices (no sugar added)
Organic 2% Milk
Dried Fat-Free Milk
Low-fat Cheese (75% fat-free cheese can be found at Walmart)
Low-fat Plain Yogurt
Brown/Wild rice
Potatoes & Sweet Potatoes
Oatmeal
Whole grain pasta, flours and breads (make sure breads are sugar free)
Eggs
Fresh fish
Lean Chicken Strips or Breast
Lean Turkey Breast slices
Lean Ground Beef
Dried fish (but careful as high in salt)
Beef jerky (but careful as high in salt)
Any "bright" vegetable (esp. Spinach, Cilantro, sprouts, tomatoes, peppers, dried seaweed, carrots)
Any Fresh or Frozen Fruits (Bananas, Berries and Citrus are my favorites)
Any nuts (but never more than 1 cup in one day)
Mustard, Horse Radish, Ginger, Wasabi
Honey
Low-Carb, Low-Fat Protein Powder
Fish Oil Pills
Multi-Vitamin tablets

Meal one - (right after waking) vitamins (Daily MV, fish oil) with a small 30-60 gm protein shake (if not watching carbs then including favorite fruit, plain yogurt, milk and honey), if really trying to lose weight then drink coffee or tea instead to get the day going…

Meal two – (Great as a Family breakfast..devotions meal)
Homemade Oatmeal Granola w/ yogurt & frozen fruit, or Veggie Egg & Cheese Omelet, (Tomatoes, Cilantro, Celery, Potatoes)—make double if you want as this is a great Meal Six as well…

Meal three – (snack)
Handful of Nuts, Fruit and Vegetables (Apples, Pears, Oranges, Tomatoes, Carrots) may have a protein shake/bar if still hungry

Meal four - (approximately lunch time)
Lean Meat, Cheese, Veggies, and Complex Carbs (brown rice or whole grain bread)
Homemade Sandwiches that can be toasted or actual hot meals are the best

Meal five – (snack) Same as Meal 3

Meal six - (around 6-7 PM)
Lean Meat or Egg, Cheese, Veggies, and Complex Carbs (brown rice or whole grain bread, maybe potato, but not too much)

Meal seven - (an hour before bed) BIG Post Workout Muscle Building Protein Shake –60-80 gm Protein, (if not watching carbs then including favorite fruit, plain yogurt, milk and honey) (If still hungry after this then maybe eat half-pound of lean turkey breast), Another Daily MV, and fish oil could be taken as pills directly before sleeping

Romo-less Cowboys Lose To Rams

Well another week another loss for the Cowboys. They lost to a Rams team who before the win over the Cowboys had only one win. Tony Romo broke his pinky finger last week on his throwing hand and wasn't able to play. The 40 year old Brad Johnson came in and threw 3 interceptions. The Boys seem to be riddled with injuries on both sides of the ball. You have 2 corners gone. One is hurt and the other was just suspended for an unknown amount of time. A punter is out with a broken foot. Felix Jones is out with a torn hamstring. These injuries are killing them. They are just not the team they need to be. They are in need of serious help. Hopefully Romo starts next week if he can tolerate the pain, and get a big win over Tampa Bay. He honestly cant do any worse than Brad Johnson did. Only time will tell so until next week. Cowboys are now (4-3).

Blocked Punt Gives Arizona 30-24 Overtime Victory

What can honestly be said? The game started off with a 94 kick off return by Arizona. Nick Folk then misses a field goal. There was turn over on both sides of the ball over and over. Lets fast forward to the 4th quarter 4 seconds left in the game and the score is 21-24 Arizona with the cowboys attempting a 52 yard field goal. Folk makes the field goal and the game goes into overtime with the Boys getting the ball first. The Cardinals stops them in 3 and out and leaves Dallas to punt the ball. McBriar gets the snap and an unblocked Cardinal comes through and blocks the punt and runs it in for a touchdown game over. It was the first time in NFL history that a blocked punt for a touchdown ended a game in overtime. There isn't much to say other than special teams won that game with a lot of luck for Arizona. Cowboys are now (4-2) going into next weeks game against the Rams (1-5). If they cant win that game in a convincing fashion I don't know what to say anymore.

Dana White UFC President on EliteXC

If you keep up with mixed martial arts you know what has been going on lately with the Kimbo and EliteXC. His opponent was paid to stand up because they thought Kimbo would knock him out. They didn't want Seth to go to the ground because they know Kimbo would lose there. Kimbo got beat by a guy who couldn't cut it in the UFC. Fucking jack asses. It is illegal I hope they get fried and that poor excuse of a company trying to compete with UFC goes under.

Cowboys nearly blow big lead, but hold off Bengals

After letting a 17-point lead shrivel to one, then breaking up a 2-point conversion that could’ve tied it, the Cowboys had plenty of reasons to be giddy about their lucky break in the final minutes that sealed a 31-22 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. Tony Romo threw for a season low 176 yards but for 3 touchdowns and 1 interception. Marion Barber turned 23 carries into 84 yards and rookie Felix Jones gained 96 yards on just nine carries. Jones went 33 yards for a touchdown on a fourth-and-1 during Dallas’ early game burst. Terrel Owens caught 2 passes for 67 yards and a Touchdown, and 8 yards on a rush attempt. The Cowboys will play in Arizona against the (3-2) Cardinals next Sunday.

Petruzelli Shocks Slice

Kimbo Slice was supposed to fight UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock tonight on CBS, but Shamrock was medically suspended after suffering a cut that required 6-7 stitches in warm ups earlier. So Light heavy Weight Seth Petruzelli who was fighting on the under card of the event stepped up to fight Heavy Weight Kimbo Slice. No one expected the fight to last 14 seconds, especially with Kimbo on the losing end. Kimbo rushed in and was caught with a front push kick, and a right hand to the chin which sent Slice to the mat. Petruzelli followed up with punches in which Slice could not recover from and the ref was forced to step in. This is a big blow to Elite XC's promotion in my opinion and has been stated in many articles and mma sites online. Kimbo is there cash cow, and a loss like this hurts Elite XC who wants to compete with the UFC. They needed a win from him tonight and didn't get it. Fighters like Slice and Corano are there big time stars and ratings draws. They placed him to fight Shamrock to get a recognizable credible fighter that they thought Slice could beat. All that was turned upside down tonight. Kimbo is brand new to MMA. His rise to fame is because of his internet youtube video backyard fights. Those are what got him there to the spot light and nothing else. To a casual fan of the sport they may think Slice is the best thing MMA has ever seen which would make any hardcore fan laugh for hours and make them sick. You want to watch great fighters of the past and present who trained for years and have skills? Rent some old PRIDE or UFC dvds. His skills in MMA are amateur by far. There are 100 other experienced fighters out there who are better skill wise but a company needs a big recognizable name to get things going and Slice was it. Some of you might say it was BS and it was a lucky punch etc. You are obviously uneducated about the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. You cant watch the occasional MMA event and be knowledgeable about it and understand all aspects of it. You have go to do your homework. The commentators try and explain alot of whats going on so the casual fan understands. They are using 4-6oz Mixed Martial Arts gloves that are there basically to protect the knuckles but to still allow grabbing for the ground aspect of fighting. Lucky? Be my guest to get hit with those on. Anything can happen in MMA. Sometimes you must train to see that. If you make one mistake may it be on the feet or on the ground and its game over. Anything can happened and anyone can lose in this sport, and honestly if you are man enough to step in the cage there is really no shame in losing. It takes balls and all these guys deserve respect. Nothing is lucky in MMA. Overall a great night of fights.

Washington Hands Dallas First Loss 26-24.

In what was an over all great game coming down to a nail biting 4th quarter the Cowboys just couldn't pull it off. Romo threw for another 300 yard game, 3 touchdowns, and 1 interception. In doing so he passed Troy Aikman's team record for consecutive 300 yard games with 13. Coming down to the final minutes of the game it was up to Nick Folk's onside kick attempt that bounced off Sam Hurd's hands and landed out of bounds with 1:41 left in the game, handing the ball and the game to the Redskins. Cowboys are now (3-1) in the NFC East and look rebound with a win against Cincinnati (0-4) at home next Sunday.

Michael Recieved His Blue Belt

Michael Magness (the guy who looks like Barack Obama), received his blue belt along with 4 other students from North Texas Mixed Martial Arts Friday night, 26 September 2008 in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. This is a great accomplishment and takes lots of hard work and dedication. The feat usually takes anywhere from a year to a year and a half of steady training at leas 3-4 times per week along with tournament wins. He gives thanks to his training partners whom he states " He couldnt do it without." They took Michael under there wings as a young white belt. Congrats to him, cause it wont be for another 2-3 years till he sees another belt promotion haha.
